There are many reasons someone may be considering a mold inspection.

You might be experiencing a strange musty smell, having uncommon persistent allergies, or seeing visible mold growth.

You may be buying or selling a property and the home inspector suggested that you have a mold professional look into an area of concern.

Having a mold inspection performed before finalizing a large purchase like that can save you from a nightmare of unexpected expenses.

You may be having a baby, and want to make sure that everything is in order.

Your doctor may have advised you to have an inspection done.

Whatever the case may be, we can help.

Our no conflict of interest service is here to give you the answers you need.

The air sample tests are most commonly used because they can identify the species types and give you a numerical value for concentration of spores in the air.

It is perfectly normal to have some mold spores floating around at all times. Even some clean room facilities still have mold spores present in the air. Typically you don't want to have more than 1,000 spores per cubic meter.

There are two zero tolerance exceptions to this rule. Those are for Stachybotrys and Chaetomium. Those are heavier sticky spores that usually only grow in places where they are less likely to be disturbed (sub floor & inner wall cavities).

The spore traps used in an air sample test are capable of detecting these and the other more common species even if they are in hidden areas.

It is possible to have an elevated spore count and not smell a musty odor or have other reasons to suspect mold growth.

When testing it is important to do an outside control sample. If the outside spore count was 3,000 that can raise your indoor counts making the home appear to have a mold problem when it actually doesn't.

On the flip side using the outside control sample can also prove that an issue is originating from inside when the indoor counts exceed the outside counts.

Home owners, management of commercial buildings, apartment tenants, and contractors look to us for answers to the tough questions. Every inspection is different. It is important to keep an open mind because the causes for mold growth can be as unique as the building.

We use thermal imaging to help locate unknown areas of concern.

Ruling out false positives is as important as finding the true areas of concern. We can do this by taking moisture readings, and even inner wall cavity air samples.
